As we age, our skin changes.

Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form.

With JUVÉDERM® injectable gel, you can improve signs of aging.

What is JUVÉDERM®?

JUVÉDERM® is the only HA filller with FDA approval to last up to one year.* Ask your physician how you can get long-lasting results with JUVÉDERM®. JUVÉDERM® injectable gel is a “next-generation” smooth consistency gel dermal filler that helps to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).

What does JUVÉDERM® do?

JUVÉDERM injectable gel temporarily adds volume to

facial tissue and restores a smoother appearance to the face.

Does the correction last forever?

No. Correction is temporary; therefore, touch-up injections

as well as repeat injections are usually needed to maintain optimal corrections.

How long do results last?

JUVÉDERM® is the ONLY hyaluronic acid (HA) filler FDA approved to last up to 1 year.

In the lips, JUVÉDERM® lasts around 6 months on average.

How long does treatment usually take?

The injection process takes only about 15 minutes. You'll also need

to allow time to consult with your doctor prior to treatment.

Is treatment with JUVÉDERM® injectable gel painful?

Injections may cause some discomfort during and after the injection.

The smooth consistency gel of JUVÉDERM® allows your practitioner to administer it easily and smoothly.

And, JUVÉDERM® is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce injection discomfort.

Your practitioner may choose to numb (anesthetize) the treatment area to further minimize discomfort.

What will treatment with JUVÉDERM® injectable gel accomplish?

JUVÉDERM® injectable gel will help to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing. And one treatment could smooth your lines and wrinkles for up to 1 year.

Can people with different skin tones/colors be treated with JUVÉDERM®?

Yes. In fact, JUVÉDERM® injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that has proven its safety and effectiveness in persons of color. Studies with JUVÉDERM® showed no increased risk of hyperpigmentation or hypertrophic scarring in patients of color.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are used to add volume to the face and reduce wrinkles. They can be injected into cheeks, chin, lips, vertical lip lines, marionette lines, nasolabial folds, oral commissures, and tear troughs to improve one’s facial appearance by adding desired volume and fullness to these areas.   Fillers used in this facility are a syringe of hyaluronic acid gel, a natural protein found in our bodies. They add hydration and volume to the injection site. After the initial injection, they draw water into the area, adding plumpness and fullness gradually over the next few days.  It is important to note that after one receives a treatment, any type of facial, chemical peel or waxing should not be done for two weeks, to allow the product to settle.  Additionally,  laser treatments to the face should be avoided while using fillers. The Restylane family of products includes Restylane, Restylane-L, Perlane, and Perlane-L. These products can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).  The Restylane family of products is only available through licensed practitioners and you should ask your healthcare professional which product is the right one for you.

How effective are Restylane Lip Injections?

Restylane is said to last twice as long as collagen and is amongst the highest quality

injectable dermal fillers available usually lasting 3-4 times as long as collagen.

The Restylane procedure usually takes only an hour and heals within 1-2 weeks.

After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness.

These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and

less than 14 days in lips. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 36 years,

and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years.

Is there an "Ideal Lip"?

Everyone's facial structure is different—and so is

everyone's ideal lip shape and size.

Restylane® and Restylane-L® are helping redefine lip enhancement

with treatment

that follows well-accepted aesthetic guidelines.

Used in this way, Restylane can help

you achieve your own "Ideal Lip."

The Divine Proportion—an artist's vision of beauty.

For centuries, artists have used the Divine Proportion to create harmony and balance. For lips, it translates into a guideline that the upper lip should be about 40% of the total height of the lips, and the bottom lip should be about 60%
